जन विद्या फाउंडेशन क्या है? (What is Jana Vidya Foundation?)
जन विद्या फाउंडेशन प्रयागराज, उत्तर प्रदेश में स्थित एक पंजीकृत शिक्षा NGO है। 2023 में स्थापित, हमारा मिशन है कि प्रयागराज और आसपास के गांवों में हर बच्चे को गुणवत्तापूर्ण शिक्षा मिले — बिल्कुल मुफ्त।
Jana Vidya Foundation is a registered education NGO based in Prayagraj (formerly Allahabad), Uttar Pradesh. Founded in 2023, our mission is to ensure that every child in Prayagraj and surrounding villages has access to quality education — completely free of cost. We believe that education is the most powerful tool for breaking the cycle of poverty, and that no child should be denied this fundamental right because of their family's financial situation.
हम सिर्फ किताबें नहीं बांटते — हम बच्चों को सपने देखना सिखाते हैं। हमारे 100 से अधिक स्वयंसेवक हर दिन इस मिशन को आगे बढ़ाते हैं।
We do not just distribute books — we teach children to dream. Over 100 volunteers carry this mission forward every single day, working directly in communities where educational opportunities have historically been scarce.
प्रयागराज में शिक्षा की चुनौतियाँ (Education Challenges in Prayagraj)
प्रयागराज एक ऐतिहासिक शहर है — संगम की भूमि, महाकुंभ की नगरी। लेकिन शहर की चमक-दमक के पीछे एक कड़वी सच्चाई है: ग्रामीण प्रयागराज में हजारों बच्चे बुनियादी शिक्षा से वंचित हैं।
Prayagraj is a historic city — the land of the Sangam, the city of Maha Kumbh. But behind its grandeur lies a harsh reality: thousands of children in rural Prayagraj are deprived of even basic education.
चुनौतियाँ जो हमने देखीं (Challenges We Have Witnessed):
1. सरकारी स्कूलों में भीड़ (Overcrowded Government Schools)
ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों में एक शिक्षक पर 60-80 बच्चों की जिम्मेदारी होती है। इतनी भीड़ में व्यक्तिगत ध्यान देना असंभव है। कई बच्चे कक्षा 5 तक पहुंचते-पहुंचते बुनियादी पढ़ना-लिखना भी नहीं सीख पाते।
In rural areas, a single teacher is often responsible for 60 to 80 students. Providing individual attention in such overcrowded classrooms is nearly impossible. Many children reach Class 5 without even learning to read and write at a basic level.
2. निजी ट्यूशन की ऊंची फीस (High Cost of Private Tuition)
जहां सरकारी शिक्षा कमजोर है, वहां निजी ट्यूशन ही एकमात्र विकल्प बचता है। लेकिन ग्रामीण परिवारों के लिए हर महीने 500-1000 रुपये की ट्यूशन फीस भी बहुत ज्यादा है। नतीजा — गरीब बच्चे पीछे रह जाते हैं।
Where government education falls short, private tuition becomes the only alternative. But for rural families, even a monthly fee of 500 to 1000 rupees is a significant burden. The result is that children from low-income families fall further and further behind.
3. किताबों और संसाधनों की कमी (Lack of Books and Resources)
कई गांवों में कोई पुस्तकालय नहीं है। बच्चों के पास पाठ्यपुस्तकें तक नहीं होतीं, कहानी की किताबें तो दूर की बात है। डिजिटल संसाधन? वो तो सपना ही है।
Many villages have no library at all. Children lack even textbooks, let alone storybooks or supplementary reading material. Digital resources remain a distant dream for most families in these areas.
4. लड़कियों की शिक्षा में बाधाएं (Barriers to Girls' Education)
सामाजिक रूढ़ियों के कारण कई लड़कियों को स्कूल भेजना बंद कर दिया जाता है — खासकर कक्षा 8 के बाद। सुरक्षा की चिंता, दूरी, और पारिवारिक दबाव इसके मुख्य कारण हैं।
Due to social norms, many girls are taken out of school, particularly after Class 8. Safety concerns, distance to schools, and family pressure are the primary barriers. Addressing these deeply rooted challenges requires sustained community engagement and trust-building.
हमारे कार्यक्रम (Our Programs)
जन विद्या फाउंडेशन छह प्रमुख कार्यक्रम चलाता है। हर कार्यक्रम समुदाय की एक विशिष्ट जरूरत को पूरा करता है।

1. मुफ्त शिक्षण केंद्र (Free Teaching & Learning Centers)
प्रयागराज में हमारे 3 शिक्षण केंद्र हैं जहां 500 से अधिक बच्चे नियमित रूप से पढ़ने आते हैं। यहां हम पढ़ना, लिखना, गणित, अंग्रेजी और सामान्य ज्ञान सिखाते हैं। कक्षाएं सुबह और शाम दोनों समय चलती हैं ताकि सरकारी स्कूल जाने वाले बच्चे भी लाभ उठा सकें।
We operate 3 learning centers in Prayagraj where over 500 children attend regularly. We teach reading, writing, mathematics, English, and general knowledge. Classes run both morning and evening shifts so that children attending government schools can also benefit. Our trained volunteers use interactive teaching methods — storytelling, group activities, and visual aids — to make learning engaging and effective.
2. मुफ्त पुस्तकालय कार्यक्रम (Free Library Program)
हमने प्रयागराज जिले में 5 मुफ्त पुस्तकालय स्थापित किए हैं — गांवों में और एक जेल में भी। अब तक 2,000 से अधिक किताबें वितरित की जा चुकी हैं। ये पुस्तकालय सिर्फ बच्चों के लिए नहीं — पूरे समुदाय के लिए हैं।
We have established 5 free libraries across Prayagraj district — in villages and even inside a prison. Over 2,000 books have been distributed so far. These libraries serve not just children but the entire community. Our library program is one of our most impactful initiatives — in areas where people had never owned a book, they now have access to entire collections spanning fiction, non-fiction, textbooks, and reference materials.
3. छात्रवृत्ति कार्यक्रम (Scholarship Program)
गरीब परिवारों के मेधावी छात्रों को 50 से अधिक छात्रवृत्तियां दी गई हैं। छात्रवृत्ति में ट्यूशन फीस, किताबें, स्कूल यूनिफॉर्म और स्टेशनरी शामिल है। हमारा लक्ष्य है कि कोई भी प्रतिभाशाली बच्चा पैसों की कमी के कारण पढ़ाई न छोड़े।
We have awarded over 50 scholarships to meritorious students from low-income families. Each scholarship covers tuition fees, books, school uniforms, and stationery. Our goal is to ensure that no talented child drops out of education due to financial constraints. Scholarship recipients are selected through a transparent process that considers academic performance, family income, and motivation.
4. मेडिकल कैम्प (Free Medical Camps)
शिक्षा और स्वास्थ्य साथ-साथ चलते हैं। हमने अब तक 10 से अधिक मुफ्त मेडिकल कैम्प आयोजित किए हैं जहां स्वास्थ्य जांच, दृष्टि परीक्षण, और स्वास्थ्य शिक्षा दी जाती है। एक बीमार बच्चा पढ़ नहीं सकता — इसलिए हम स्वास्थ्य को शिक्षा का अभिन्न अंग मानते हैं।
Education and health go hand in hand. We have organized over 10 free medical camps providing health check-ups, vision screenings, and health education. A sick child cannot learn effectively — that is why we consider health an integral part of education. Our medical camps also serve as community outreach events, building trust and raising awareness about our educational programs among families who might not otherwise engage with an NGO.
5. सामुदायिक कार्यशालाएं (Community Workshops)
20 से अधिक कार्यशालाएं आयोजित की गई हैं — स्वच्छता, डिजिटल साक्षरता, वित्तीय जागरूकता, और जीवन कौशल पर। ये कार्यशालाएं न सिर्फ बच्चों बल्कि उनके माता-पिता के लिए भी होती हैं।
We have conducted over 20 workshops on hygiene, digital literacy, financial awareness, and life skills. These workshops are designed not just for children but also for their parents and community members. When parents understand the value of education and health, they become allies in our mission rather than obstacles.
6. स्वयंसेवक और शिक्षक प्रशिक्षण (Volunteer & Teacher Training)
100 से अधिक स्वयंसेवकों को शिक्षण, बाल मनोविज्ञान, और सामुदायिक जुड़ाव का प्रशिक्षण दिया गया है। हमारे प्रशिक्षित स्वयंसेवक ही हमारी रीढ़ हैं — वे हर दिन कक्षाओं में जाकर बच्चों को पढ़ाते हैं।
Over 100 volunteers have been trained in pedagogy, child psychology, and community engagement. Our trained volunteers are the backbone of our organization — they go into classrooms every day to teach and mentor children. Many of our volunteers are themselves first-generation college students who understand the challenges our students face.

अगर आप प्रयागराज में हैं, तो हमारे शिक्षण केंद्रों में पढ़ाने आएं। हफ्ते में सिर्फ 2-3 घंटे देकर आप किसी बच्चे का जीवन बदल सकते हैं। किसी विशेष योग्यता की जरूरत नहीं — बस सीखने और सिखाने की इच्छा होनी चाहिए। हम हर स्वयंसेवक को पूरा प्रशिक्षण और सहयोग देते हैं।
